Driving

The traffic drives on the right-hand side in Turkey. To drive a car, you do not need an international driving licence. You can use your own driving licence.

Travelling around Turkey

Transport in Turkey is wide ranging, from planes to underground trains, from buses to trains, from dolmus buses to taxis.

International transport: There is a-5 million passenger capacity airport with both domestic and international terminals in Dalaman.

National transport: You can travel all over Turkey by planes, modern buses, or comfortable trains.

Regional transport: You can reach nearby town centres such as Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek, Köycegiz, Dalaman, and Ortaca by dolmus buses (a kind of minibus), and they are very cheap.
Or you can go by taxis, available 24 hours a day but they are more expensive than dolmus buses.

This region has good roads and local people often ride bicycles or motorbikes, sometimes with several people on board.
