All shops are open every day except Sundays, and they stay open until late at night in the coastal regions. Most department stores are open on Sundays, as well.
Official buildings such as municipalities, post offices, and banks open at 9.00 a.m. and close at 5.00 p.m. on weekdays.
You can change or exchange any currency in banks, post offices, currency offices, and even in jewellery shops. You can find open markets or bazaars in Köycegiz on Monday, Dalaman on Thursday, Ortaca on Friday and Dalyan on Saturday, and they have a great variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, spices, kitchen ware, clothes, shoes and slippers, accessories, and even books. Haggling is normal and great fun.
